Movie Mayhem

In recent years many have felt the box office lacking in cinematic masterpieces.

This year may be an exception. Within the next years, there are multiple

movies that audiences everywhere are waiting for. Soon Wicked, Mufasa: The

Lion King, and Moana 2 coming before the end of the year. These movies are

going to be followed by films like Avatar 3, Frozen 3, Dune 3, Zootopia 2,

Dragons: The Nine Realms (How to Train Your Dragon spinoff) and so much

more. While this author is certainly thrilled about these coming films, there

has been discussion amongst film junkies about the lack of new films and a

plethora of sequels that have been coming out in theatre recently. Many

question if animation studios like Disney are running into a creative drought as

of recently or if the lack of production is due to the many protests and strikes

that have happened in Hollywood in the past. These protests did halt many

major productions last year which we are still, no doubt, seeing the effects of.

Only one thing is certain, as long as people are alive, art will be made.
